  •  (Feb 2, 2015) Maxwell Dynamics introduces 3DStudio, a three-dimensional visualization and interpretation software module. 3DStudio is compatible with Maxwell Dynamics’ LogXD software package which performs geosteering and log interpretation in high-angle and horizontal wells.
  •  (Jan 24, 2014) Maxwell Dynamics introduces WITSXD, a software for WITS0 (Wellsite Information Transfer Specification, Level 0) data transmission and reception. WITSXD can be used in the following scenarios: (1) bridging two WITS0 client software packages; (2) emulating as a WITS0 transmitter to test WITS0 client’s (such as LogXD) receiving capability; (3) receiving and recording WITS0 data to file. 
  •  (April 1, 2013) Maxwell Dynamics sponsors the 54th Annual SPWLA Symposium in New Orleans, June 22-26, 2013.
  •  (Nov 22, 2012) LogXD 2.40.1 is available for user download. This new version has updated its TST display and expanded the well trajectory design/extension features.

  •  (June 6, 2011) Maxwell Dynamics successfully introduced its geosteering package LogXD and services into South America. Now, Maxwell Dynamics reaches both oil and service company clients from across three continents.
  •  (May, 2011) John Zhou of Maxwell Dynamics is honored with the "Award for Distinguished Technical Achievement" at the 52nd SPWLA Annual Symposium for being "a pioneer in developing and applying real-time modeling/inversion to the data interpretation in high-angle and horizontal wells" and other accomplishments.  
  •  (May 16, 2011) Maxwell Dynamics announced the introduction of geosteering and log interpretation software LogXD version 2.01 at the 52nd SPWLA Annual Symposium in Colorado Springs. The new version further expanded its proprietary computation algorithm in real-time tool response modeling, which is a critical part of active geosteering. It also streamlined the workflows for better user efficiency.
  •  (Oct. 30, 2009) Maxwell Dynamics, Inc was invited to present at the SEG-SPWLA Joint Workshop on "New LWD Directional Resistivity Tools - Challenges and Way Forward" on Oct 30th at the George Brown Convention Center, Houston. John Zhou's presentation was on "Response Characteristics & Interpretation of Multi-component LWD Resistivity".
  •  (Oct. 15, 2009) A short course titled "Logging While Drilling" was given by Maxwell Dynamics at the University of Petroleum in Qingdao, China with about 60 attendees. The lecture covered LWD historical developments, measurement technologies, applications, and future trends.
  •  (May 1, 2009) LogXD version 1.004 is ready for release.

LogXD (ver. 1.004) is ready for delivery. This version offers (1) enhanced graphical display, (2) the accelerated proprietary 2.5-D resistivity modeling capability, (3) robust and self-consistent formation model construction, (4) GR and Density image simulation, (5) formation model mapping from pilot well to a nearby planned one. Basic formation evaluation functions are also integrated into the geosteering package LogXD for user's convenience.

Maxwell Dynamics will exhibit its advanced  log interpretation software for deviated wells at the 15th Annual Petrophysical Computing & Software exhibition hosted by the Houston Chapter of the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (www.spwla-houston.org/pages/software08.htm).
